0Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Roof Tile

Very hard to find 16th century Ming Dynasty Chinese roof tile. Appraised at $3000 we are selling here for $1950. It is a heavy non-poureous clay terra cotta. Sancai like glaze with small chips and wear on the base, his hands, the horse tail and one knee -- very small scars except for lower tile portion. The rider is carrying what appears to be a ball in his hand.

Overall the roof tile is in very good condition. We have searched the web and find few if any similar roof tiles that are also thought to be Ming Dynasty period. However, there are many newer (20th Century) roof tiles that are very simply and smaller on eBay. The Chinese government has not been allowing roof tiles, such as this, out of the country for many years, so the supply is very limited. This is a recent appraisal quote: "The piece is a Chinese, glazed tilework figure and is Ming Dynasty in date, probably 16th century. The figure of a boy (identified as such by his two topknots) is hard to identify as a specific individual, but as he is holding a ball, he may be a depiction of a Taoist attendant on a horse.
