Item Description: |
||
Somewhat rare is this McCormick decanter of Stephen F. Austin who of course the capital of Texas was named after. Austin, and his father before, was one of the primary movers and shakers in getting families to settle in Texas in the 1820's, which was still a part of Mexico. The rest of the story is on the box holding the decanter. As you probably know this type of porcelain decanter is no longer made by the liquor companies and it is my feeling that they will become very collectible in years to come.
