Item Description:
My husband is from Hungary and I know first hand how hard it is to find any antique Hungarian jewelry. This piece belonged to a woman who immigrated to American decades ago. She said it was a belt buckle, which I was not particularly convinced of until I saw one in an old Art Deco price guide.
This Art Deco black plastic buckle measures 3-7/8" square. Decorated with a Horn of Plenty and flower etching, and accentuated with paint, gold and sunken rhinestones. It is gorgeous and in near mint condition. There are three plastic rings on the back where the piece was originally used to sew on to a belt. Book value is $385.
