Truly fascinating is this Art Nouveau Young Lady with Long Flowing Hair Reproduction Sculpture by Alva Museum Replica's.
The material appears to be a cast stone with enamel green coating on an Italian Marble base. Very nice depth to the lines.
Alva Museum Replica's made many similar statues and pieces back in the 1950's and 1960's, and one has survived in excellent condition.
The profile and flowing hair give a very profound and almost spiritual look -- a show stopper wherever you place it in your home or office.
The piece measures 16 inches in height, 9 inches deep, and six inches wide. The sculptor alone is 11 1/2 inches, 9 inches deep and 6 inches deep. The marble base is 4 1/2 inches tall, and 3 1/2 inches square. This piece weighs a heavy 15 pounds. Alva label on the bottom.
If by chance you know the original sculpture of this piece I would be very appreciative of that information.
