"Elizabeth's Homecoming" by doll artist Kathy Barry-Hippensteel, produced by the Edwin M. Knowles China Company in 1989 and distributed by Ashton-Drake. Today is the day that "Elizabeth" comes home from the hospital, and she is all dressed up for the occasion. She has a one-piece pink sleeper with dainty eyelet trim, a matching bonnet that ties with ribbons under her chin, and white lace knit booties. Wrapped in a soft receiving blanket, "Elizabeth" is ready to meet the world....in her quiet way. Already fast asleep, she seems perfectly content in her new surroundings. The doll has hand painted porcelain head, arms and feet. Her body is cloth. She has real light blond hair and I would guess her eyes are blue, but as you see I can't be sure.
