Extremely RARE"Barbie As The Queen of Hearts Goes Wild"
This Barbie doll was made for a 1995 Barbie convention in San Jose, California, from Aug.25-27, 1995. The convention was called “Barbie Through The Looking Glass”.
The sizzling Queen of Hearts Goes Wild doll was designed by Florence Chinn and Florence signed the cover of the box “Best Wishes Flo Chinn”.
The doll is mint in the box. The doll has dark red hair, that is braided and pinned back.
She has the following qualities:
She is wearing a hand-crafted gold crown, that has beads and sequins attached to it.
Hand painted red hearts on her face.
Long gold earrings with imported red glass heart beads.
She comes with a cape, which is red velvet, with tangerine taffeta lining, with a red sequined collar.
She has a red stretch lace bodysuit, with ribbon garters.
Her skirt in front is red heart netting, and in back her skirt is black sparkle and red organza.
She has black patterned nylons.
She is holding a scepter that is hand-crafted with mirrors, red hearts, red/gold ribbon, and a gold stick.
She is also wearing a black and white striped ribbon sash, with a red snowflake and red imported stone.
Her hand is tagged with a red ribbon, that is imprinted in gold lettering, "Barbie Through the Looking Glass".
Her nails are painted red, and she comes with a black stand that has a mirror on top.
Her box is gold, with a black liner behind the doll. The liner has a gold seal that tells of the convention. The front of the box has an illustration of the doll in her costume. The box has a black ribbon encircling it.
Also included is the convention program and the Alameda Barbie Club ribbon.
To my knowledge only two of these dolls have been sold in the last year. I would guess that the production was limited to about 1,000 dolls.
