| Vintage shell cameo brooch features a lacey edged goldtone bezel with a fancy goldtone applied decoration at the top. The hand-carved shell cameo depicts a lovely woman and is very nicely carved. The brooch measures approximately 1-3/8 x 1" and has a safety closure as well as a hidden loop that folds down when worn as a pin to enable it to be worn as a pendant as well. The pin is in Excellent Condition although the plating on the back has a few bare spots at what appear to be solder joints where the plating did not adhere. Although these are minor and relatively inconsequential, we mention them for the sake of full disclosure. This is a surprisingly lovely carved shell cameo in a vintage costume bezel setting.
