Christmas Tree Pin: Vintage Hattie Carnegie Christmas Tree

Vintage Hattie Carnegie Christmas tree pin is pictured in both Nancy Trowbridge's, "O Christmas Tree" and Mary Morrison's, "Christmas Jewelry".  At one time, this Christmas tree pin did light up, but it does not anymore.  According to Mary Morrison: "I have never seen this tree working, but, working or not, it is quite lovely."  We agree with Mary Morrison, we have never seen this tree in working condition, but this has never stopped collectors from acquiring it as it is a beautiful vintage Christmas tree pin.  It measures approximately 2-1/2 x 1-1/4" and has a safety closure.  It is signed, "Hattie Carnegie" in script with a copyright symbol on an oval signature plaque on the reverse of the pin.  It is also signed, "Lic.Pat.No." and "3119564" on raised rectangular signature plaques on the reverse of the trunk.  The pin is in Excellent Condition.  As is often the case, the battery cover on the front of the pin was loose.  We had a jeweler insert tiny gold tone watch screws in the holes that existed on each side of the battery case to keep the cover securely on the pin.  We are very pleased with the result, which can be removed if you wish without affecting the condition or look of this gorgeous vintage Christmas tree pin.  We feel this is a great improvement.   This is a wonderful example of this vintage Hattie Carnegie Christmas Tree Pin. Price includes domestic UPS Ground shipping.  (#29083-Tree386)
