Cicada brooch is beautifully crafted in shades of topaz colored and Aurora Borealis clear round and baguette rhinestones in antiqued gold tone metal. The cicada was regarded by the ancient Chinese as the symbol of long life, happiness and eternal youth, similar to the way in which the ancient Egyptians regarded the scarab. This beautiful cicada pin measures approximately 3 x 1-1/4" and has a safety closure. The cicada is the longest lived insect having a lifespan of as long as twenty years.
