Item Description:
Freirich was a manufacturer of quality costume jewelry which reached it height in the 1960's producing jewelry for high fashion designers as well as under its own name. This is a beautiful antiqued goldtone bookchain necklace with whopping 13MM deep amethyst mottled glass beads alternating with oval faux amethyst moonstone beads on tubular extensions. The necklace chain measures approximately 24" long, but the extensions drop approximately another inch and a quarter. This necklace is classically styled and beautifully made and is as "today" as it was when it was made approximately 40 to 50 years ago. A rare and worthwhile collector's find with the signature oval cartouche marked, "FREIRICH". Not too many of these around!
