Long considered sacred to many people and also a symbol of immortality, the oak tree has been a popular subject for decoration. Since the first of the 19th century, oak leaves have been used in victory laurels symbolizing strength and tenacity. This sterling brooch features the oak leaf and acorn trio inside an oval branch. It measures 2" and is finely detailed. Signed on the back "Sterling" and a beautiful classic brooch - excellent for a jacket, lightweight enough for a blouse or sweater.
