I've inherited this doll - purchased in 1940 at Garfinkels in Washinton DC - The note with the doll said this doll was a second edition of the first boy doll done by Madam Alexander. First edition was in 1939 and had red and white clothes. Second edition in 1940 and was purchased for $10. He has blonde hair, blue eyes that open and close with lashes. Pink/beige and blue striped shirt, beige jumper with short pant legs, shoes and socks and a stocking sort of hat with a small tassel. Any idea where I can look to find out his value so I can either insure or sell him?
