Brooch - Victorian Ornate Sterling and Glass Banjo

A very unique item - Unmarked sterling silver banjo with wire strings - 3" long with a molded glass insert. This is from an estate and I do not know much about it. The wires are strung through the end and one of them is loose. It could be replaced or removed. Otherwise this is in good condition. I have not tried to clean or repair it. The glass insert is intact. There is a loop at the top so it can actually be worn as a pendant.  A beautiful and unusual piece.
