Valentine: Vintage German Fold Down Valentine Honeycomb

Victorian Fold-down Valentine features three layers with red honeycomb. The back layer is a beautiful mountain scene with blue forget-me-nots and another white flower which I am not familar with. The second layer features a beautifully depicted young girl handing a bouquet of flowers to a seated boy. The front layer features a stone garden seat with a rose trellis behind and white doves. The fold-down flap has a decorated and applied rectangular embossed paper with blue flowered and gold-trimmed edges with a central message "To My Valentine" in fancy script. The Valentine measures approximately 6 x 3-5=7/8". It is signed, "Germany" on the right corner of the reverse. It is in Very Good Condition. There is a section of torn edge where the scallops are along the right top side where two scallops are missing for about 1/2". Otherwise, the Valentine would be in Excellent Condition. The Valentine is signed in ink on the reverse "To Mama From Peter Feb 14. 1914". A very pretty Victorian Valentine IMHO!
