Item Description:
This is the nicest onyx and diamond ring I've seen from this period. The manufacturer is J.J. White of Providence, RI who was in business from 1896 to at least 1978. The ring is marked W inside a triangle, as well as 14KT.
Now for the delightful details; the onyx sets high up on 3/16 inch of beaded filigree with a ribbon bow motif on each side that is also part of the prongs which hold the onyx. There is lovely filigree down each side of the band which is a size 5.5. The Marquise cut onyx has an Art Deco design etched carving with a sweet bezel set diamond. You’ll have to look a long time to come up with another gold ring as nice as this one.
Please note that shipping does not include insurance, which is recommended on this piece. Insurance can be added for $1.90 per each $50 of coverage.
