Absolutely stunning is this Silverish Bronze Semi Nude Bathing Lady Statue with the shroud or towel over half her torso and front leg. Shroud is in silver bronze and the balance of her is bronze includng upper torso, head and arms and legs.
This large statue measures 26 1/2 inches tall, 10 inches at the lower shroud base and 8 inches at the shoulder. The depth is 5 inches and the piece weighs 17 pounds. Silverish color is the result of more nickel or silver oxide.
This beautiful piece was purchased from City of Paris in San Francisco in 1972 for $1200 -- thirty seven years ago and was recently appraised for $1600.
No signatures or other identifcation marks, but we're reasonably sure it was sculpted and cast in the San Francisco Bay Area.
