Napier "Burning Bush" Modernist pin / brooch came from the collection and samples of a Napier rep from the 1960s and 70s and it is a remarkable design with a huge, pear-shaped Aurora Borealis clear, open-backed rhinestone nestled within gorgeous matte and bright gold tone metal. This spectacular vintage Napier pin may have been a prototype or part of Napier's line. Many of the items the rep had were given only to reps or were a part of special limited edition groups. During the 1960s and 70s, Napier did some abstract and modernist jewelry designs with biblical references including Tree of Life jewelry. This outstanding Napier pin measures approximately 2-7/8 x 2-1/8" and has a safety closure. We doubt that this has ever been worn and it is pristine. It is signed, "Napier" on a rectangular signature plaque on the reverse of the pin. We have never seen another like this and wonder if we ever will again. The quality of the metal work is impressive and could easily pass for precious metal. A wonderful statement pin by Napier for discriminating collectors!
