Item Description:

The graceful "Dolphin" decanter from the Animals of the Sea Series.

A natural-born entertainer, the dolphin is a star performer at aquariums and Marine Amustment Parks throughout the world.  It's no secruet that dolphins can learn sophisticated tricks, just as horses and dogs can.  But dolphins, being highly intelligent animals, get bored doing the same trick over and over  Also, they won't work for a person they don't like.

Dolphins are not fish but mammals.  Like those of other mammals, dolphin young are born alive.  Dolphins are airbreathing creatures, and must surface regularly or suffocate and drown. Dolphins are naturally drawn to humans and in fact there are many well-documented rescues by dolphins of endangered humans in the sea.

This is the Cyrus Noble "The Dolphin," in a series of ceramic works entitled "Animals of the Sea."

All the ceramics in this series are hand-painted and have been produced from original sculptures in limited numbers.

Each sculpture comes with a hand-routed teak base, felt padded to protect furniture.

This piece is numbered 1017 of 4994 limited edition.

Decanter is empty, we have box and inside liner.  Decanter is in excellent condition.
