Alluring seascape by famous artist Dey De Ribcowsky (1880-1936) who specialized in oil marine or seascapes and later Southwestern U.S. painting. This oil painting has been appraised for $1300 retail, and $1000 wholesale. We are offering it here for $950. Some crazing on this painting which is evident on the photographs, but no peeling or tears. Unframed on canvas. Marine Painter. Born in Rustchuk, Bulgaria on October 13, 1880. At age 13 DeRibcowsky began art studies in Paris and continued in Florence and Petrograd. After founding the Academy of Beaux-Arts in Buenos Aires in 1904, he immigrated to the United States in 1910. He lived in New York until his move to Inglewood, California in the early 1920?s. DeRibcowsky died in Los Angeles on August 16, 1936.
