Elephant pin in sterling silver and gorgeous, colorful abalone shell has its lucky trunk up. It measures approximately 1-1/4 x 1" and has a safety closure. In Excellent Condition, it is signed "ARH" in a circle with "TAXCO MEXICO" and ".925" with the #3 Eagle stamp dating it to the period from 1948 to 1980. Vintage Mexican sterling jewelry made in Taxco is considered the highest level of Mexican sterling craftsmanship. This little elephant has lots of detail and beautiful color.
