| Guro Masks are crafted from one piece of wood and decorated with oil paints. The oil paint comes from the French who experimented with paint on African Art. They are used during sacrificial gatherings, celebrations, and funerals. The presence of animals on the Guro Masks is highly symbolic. For example, the bird represents time and the snake, wisdom. Guro masks have a distinguished style; a long face with the forehead and bridge of the nose forming a S-shaped profile. · Made in Cote d’ Ivoire (Ivory Coast) | ||
