Item Description:
Another colorful and detailed McCormick decanter is this porcelain Patrick Henry. The orator of the revolution with the famous quote "I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death," which became the rallying cry of patriots in all the colonies as events propelled His Majesty's American subjects into open rebellion. Later back in Virginia, with the revolution under way, Henry, outlawed by the king's governor, led the convention that framed Virginia's revolutionary constitution, and on June 6, 1776 was himself elected governor of the sovereign state of Virginia.
