Valentine: Vintage Honeycomb Valentine Ca. 1930

Vintage honeycomb Valentine features Cupid as a mailman delivering Valentines and another cherub playing a heart-shaped lute. There is a tiny message: "To my Valentine/Though many other flowers grow/In woodland wild or garden spot/Choose among them all for you/Little blue forget-me-not." This beautiful Valentine measures a generous 10-1/4 x 8". This charming Valentine dates Ca. 1930 and is in Excellent Condition. As is often the case, there is some fading to the red honeycomb rendering it somewhat orange and there is some minor creasing to the outer edge corners of the honeycomb, visible only when closed, and one tiny crease on the outer edge of the mailman that is only faintly visible from the back. There is a center section of navy blue honeycomb which is vibrant. A wonderfully preserved and charming sentimental Valentine relic from the past!
