Victorian Hair Pin With Chain For Pince-Nez Glasses

These were popular in the nineteenth century. The hairpin went into the popular pompadour hairstyles of the period. The glasses were worn without earpieces by pinching the bridge of the nose. Victorian Locket On Original Mesh Chain

This Victorian locket is on the original mesh chain, all parts are original, and is circa 1860-1880, Both the keeper frame and celluloid photo cover are present. Under the celluloid there is one lightly inscribed initial which looks like a "J". I do not know if there was at one time a keeper frame in the top of the locket.
