The third of our "Old Cottage Toys" Doll -- this is " Victorian Girl with Hoop" with her wooden hoop (Hula-hoop?). She has a hard plastic head and felt jointed body.
The doll is wearing a brocade dress and hat -- all original of course. As with all the Old Cottage Dolls the face is hand painted and with a very orignal look. These dolls were hand crafted in Great Britain and purchased in England.
Margaret and Susi Fleischmann came to live in Rustington, Sussex, England, from their homeland of Czechoslovakia in 1939 and started their doll making business named Old Cottage Toys.
