Great detail on this Large Bronze Japanese Soldier (Warrior) with sickle type battle weapon and two swords on his belt -- one on front and one on rear.
Look at the detail of this casting on the protective front vest, the leggins, the sandals with ties and the shoulder pads. The face has exquisite realism as do the hands.
This is truly a work of art. I believe it to be much older than many of the bronze pieces you see on the market today. With this detail this figure must have been from an early casting from the original mold(s).
Measures 17 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches wide at the base and 4 inches deep. The statue weighs over 12 pounds. We used tape to keep the weapon tight in his hands, but that can be removed once you have it set in place.
