J. Flores Taxco sterling silver vintage bracelet is one of the finest Mexican sterling bracelets we have had. This is a significant vintage Taxco piece that is incredibly well-crafted and weighty. The bracelet is a wearable length of 7-1/4" long and approximately 1-1/16" wide. It has a box clasp closure in wonderful condition and the piece is pristine. This superb vintage Taxco sterling bracelet weighs an amazing 92.6 grams of sterling silver -- approximately 3.31 ounces! It is signed, "J. FLORES TAXCO MEXICO" in a circle around ".925" for sterling silver. Since there is no eagle stamp, we think this may also be a mark for Jose Luis Flores, who worked with Hector Aguilar at Taller Borda for many years and used the eagle stamps 1 and 3 as later pieces of this silversmith are marked. The weight of this wonderful vintage Mexican sterling bracelet is reminiscent, and perhaps heavier IMHO, than Aguilar pieces we have had. We believe this bracelet dates from 1939 to 1948, the time between the opening of Taller Borda and the inception of the eagle mark. This bracelet came from the estate of a serious collector and is in Excellent Condition. The safety chain was detached so that we could show the bracelet in its entirety on a flat surface, but it can easily be connected and we will be happy to do so for you. The workmanship of this signed Taxco sterling silver bracelet, signed J. Flores is remarkable. A discriminating collector will recognize the value and collectibility of this impressive Taxco, Mexican sterling silver bracelet by J. Flores that we are proud to offer. Price includes domestic UPS Ground shipping. (#40369- J.FloresTaxcoSterlingBraceletVintageMexicanSilver)
