We have had a few special pins that we have kept aside for many years. They were part of a group that was old store stock from the 1950s that was purported to have been made in Italy. Although unsigned, we felt they were especially well-done and stood out from the rest. We have now been able to identify them as most likely attributed to Juliana Jewels. This one is a fabulous wedding-cake layered pin that is a masterful execution of elongated open-backed navettes in topaz color alternating with Aurora Borealis gold sparkling faceted roundstones around a lower perimeter of rich golden filigree balls upon which another layer of faux topaz navettes encircle a center Aurora Borealis center stone that is encircled by smaller Aurora Borealis roundstones. (We often wondered whether this pin was an unsigned Schreiner and then we came across the matching bracelet in a different color and realized by the construction that it was, in fact, Juliana style.) The pin measures approximately 2-1/2" round, but appears larger because of its weight and depth of approximately one inch from the base. It has a safety closure and is in Excellent Condition. You will not be disappointed in this exceptional pin.
