This is a truly exceptional, museum quality and guaranteed authentic early Joseff block signature, signed simply "Joseff" in small print and "Hollywood" underneath it in small block print on the reverse of the pin. This amazing pin is completely put together by hand, labor intensive and requiring a high degree of expert jewelry craftsmanship. This pin was probably made at the hand of Eugene Joseph, himself, and may be one-of-a-kind produced for a movie star or film, probably during the 1940s when Eugene Joseff was making jewelry in Hollywood. He was the foremost jewelry designer for motion pictures and the stars of Hollywood of his time. The central stone of this outstanding piece is a pristine bezel set amethyst crystal faceted rhinestone that measures 7/8 x 3/8". The bead decoration and all the parts are hand soldered and assembled. The pin measures approximately 2-7/8 x 2-1/4" and has a very fine and delicate safety closure.
