French bakelite bypass rhinestone bangle bracelet has painted silver embellishment with clear rhinestones set within the metallic silver paint. These are the bracelets that flappers wore armfuls of during the roaring twenties. The slightly larger opening size and bypass construction lead us to believe that this bracelet may have been an upper arm cuff although it can also be worn as a bangle for larger wrists. It measures approximately 1-1/4" at the widest spot in the center where the ends cross over and has a 2-3/4" opening when closed the way it is shown in the picture. It is somewhat flexible and can be opened a bit to put it on. In Excellent Condition, these vintage celluloid bangles will usually show signs of age and minor defects, but this one is in really great condition.
