Classic Alabaster "Young Child Reading" in the Italian Style.
This is nicely carved statue with lot's of detail. Appraised for $575 and we are selling here for $395.
Appraiser Comments:
"This appears to be a Classical Italian School sculpture from the third quarter of the 19th century, to early 20th century. I believe as well that this piece was executed in alabaster, which is somewhat difficult to carve.
