Hand Painted and unusual matte finish Russian Nesting Dolls with "Children Holding Pets".
Four nests inside smiling girl with puppy. Other children holding kitten, a bird and then a very small child.
Very colorful and again each is in a matte finish rather than high gloss lacquer.
Artist is Elena Sachook. The name of each doll is: 1) Vanloosha, 2) Morshenka, 3) Nadoosha, 4) Vasilek, 5) Lera.
All pieces are in excellent condition and are from an estate which also included Russian Lacquer Boxes and Russian Santa's.
The original cost of this set of Nesting dolls was $225 in 2000.
