Gorgeous Set of Seven Hand Painted Russian Nesting Boxes entitled "Stone Flower" from the city of Simbirsk and by artist M. Gordeeva.
First box is of three men in various costumes, next then three women in court, to boy and girl, a girl, courting couple, boy and young woman and finally two lovers.
This is a great set of seven with a high gloss laquer finish.
All pieces are in excellent condition and from an estate which also included Russian Lacquer Boxes and Russian Santa's. Any spots you see are reflections from the light and not imperfections.
The original cost of this set was $295 in 1999.
