Vintage Marvella simulated pearls, double strand graduated necklace, with 10K white gold and diamond clasp are salesman's samples from a 1950s-60s estate of a Marvella salesman. They are mint with the original Evening Star line tags which was a name first used by the company in 1939 and produced through the late 1950s . There is also another tag that was attached to the necklace that said on one side, "Genuine Diamond" and on the other side "14K (which was changed to 10K on the tag) White Gold". The "tongue" of the clasp is stamped, "10K". This vintage Marvella double strand of pearls is graduated with the largest center pearls measuring approximately 7.5MM. The shortest strand of the necklace measures a wearable length, with the clasp closed, of approximately 16-3/4". The pearls are individually knotted and it would be difficult to tell these stunning and high quality simulated pearls with their white gold and genuine diamond clasp from natural pearls. We cannot say enough about the quality of this beautiful double strand pearl necklace from Marvella. Marvella was known for their outstanding simulated pearls and this necklace is a wonderful example of the quality simulated pearl jewelry they produced. The Evening Star label was first used by the company in 1939, True to the Marvella name, this vintage double strand of simulated pearls with 10K gold and diamond clasp is simply MARVELOUS and would make a terrific bridal necklace, gift for a first prom or other special occasion.
