Har laughing Asian man pin / brooch and earrings set is a rare find in simulated, carved ivory and a simulated jade nugget on the pin and simulated jade cabochons with red Aurora Borealis rhinestones on both the pin and earrings in antiqued gold tone metal. This is an iconic vintage costume jewelry set by Hargo Creations N.Y., which was only in business from about 1955 to 1968. This set features the laughing Asian man in peaked bamboo hat and his kimono with lovely, intricate, textured details. The pin measures approximately 2-1/4 x 1-1/2" and has a safety closure. It is faintly signed, "HAR" on the reverse. The matching clip earrings measure approximately 1-1/2 x 1-1/8" with secure and sturdy clips that retain their original tension. One earring is signed, "HAR" with a copyright symbol raised from the mold. The set is in Very Good/Excellent Condition with one of the earrings having the plating thinned on the reverse as shown in our pic of the signature on that earrings.
