Hattie Carnegie egyptian collar necklace is an incredible and rare piece that comes from my personal collection. It combines unusually shaped ceramic beads of lavender with metallic gold accents and antiqued gold tone smooth and hammered beads with gold tone metallic seed bead spacers for a very intricate, beaded necklace that can only be described as a significant work by this esteemed designer. The beadwork in the necklace is similar to Miriam Haskell collars and is comprised of beads we have never seen before. The necklace is in pristine, Excellent Condition and is adjustable from 15 to 18 x 1-1/4" with a textured gold tone chain and fish hook closure. Attention to detail, always seen in Hattie Carnegie jewelry, is displayed in the matching decorated end of the extender chain which has three beads that match the necklace. It is signed, "Hattie Carnegie" in script, on the reverse of the gold tone closure as shown in our picture. Dating to the 1950s, this elegant Hattie Carnegie necklace is labor intense to say the very least. Classically wearable with today's fashions, this vintage Hattie Carnegie necklace displays the designer's impeccable taste and forward thinking fashion sense.
