The pendant measures a generous 2-1/4 x 1" and has a large and hefty bezel with bail that will accommodate approximately 4.5 MM of thickness in your choice of chains, cables, cords and ribbons for many different lengths and fashion looks. This is not the typical mass produced, reconstituted, contemporary carved amber piece, it is older and hand carved. It is large and one beautiful hunk of amber cabochon. The translucent amber is a gorgeous shade the color of well-brewed tea. The contrast of the carving from the reverse of the piece is remarkable. The total weight is an impressive 10.8 grams, of which most is the sterling bezel and bail because one of the characteristics of amber is its light weight.
