Vintage Kenneth Lane clear lucite clamper bracelet is banded in rhinestone pave silver tone metal. The central focus features an elongated, simulated black onyx cabochon surrounded by clear rhinestones in silver tone bands along each side and laid over the top and bottom. This is a sleek 1990s updated Art Deco statement look that hearkens to vintage precious German rock crystal designs of the period.
The bracelet measures approximately 1-1/4" wide at the widest point and the lucite is approximately 7/8" wide. It is approximately 2-1/2 x 2" when closed. The hinge works well and springs together properly when opened.
The bracelet is in Very Good/Excellent Condition. The color of the lucite has slightly mellowed with time, so much like the vintage bakelite bracelets that have turned varying shades of light tea to applejuice colors. There is a small chip on the inner part of the bracelet along one side of the hinge. It cannot be felt when worn and the hinge seems very solid in the thiin pick lucite of the bracelet.
It is signed, "Kenneth Lane" with a copyright symbol on the left side of the oval, before the last name. The signature oval was clearly applied prior to plating and the plating is so thick that it is difficult to read, but it is there and would be easier to make out with a magnifying glass in person. This dates the bracelet to the 1990s.
This is an iconic Kenneth Lane lucite clamper bracelet that any collector would love to own and wear!
