Vintage Mylu Christmas Pin Brooch has a "mustard seed" within a clear lucite ball that dangles from a green holly bow with red rhinestone berries. This unusual and somewhat scarce vintage Christmas pin brooch is pictured on Page 100 of Jill Gallina's, "Christmas Pins" 1st Ed.

The pin brooch measures approximately 2 x 2" and has a safety closure.

It is signed, "MYLU" raised from the mold on the reverse of the pin brooch.

In Excellent Condition, the back part of the cone that is attached to the ball has some green enamel missing. We think it is less likely wear than the idea that this part is on the back of the pin brooch, so the artist did not feel it necessary to carefully cover the back part well. Every example of this pin we have seen has a similar issue. It does not show when worn and we do not feel it is a defect, but we simply want to mention it.

This is a really attractive and meaningful Mylu Christmas Pin Brooch. Women have long adored mustard seed jewelry, which was very popular in the 1950s, but this is the only example we know of that has been incorporated into a Christmas theme. So, for that reason alone, this is a rare Christmas pin brooch that we think Christmas jewelry collectors will love.
