Vintage Juliana De Lizza & Elster Bird Pin Brooch. This is a very unusual bird pin brooch incorporating simulated pearls, a shoe button type rhinestone surrounding the simulated pearl eye and elongated navettes. The central oval rhinestone is a color changing purple and red with dog tooth prongs. We do not know whether it was a prototype, but we have never seen another. We have discussed this with Katerina Musetti, author of "The Art of Juliana Jewelry" when we were offering photos for her book and she believed it is probably Juliana. As with all Juliana De Lizza & Elster jewelry, it is unsigned.

It came from an estate where the woman passed away in 1970 and we believe it dates to the 1960s.

It measures approximately 1 7/8 x 1-5/8" and has a safety closure.

It is in Excellent Condition.
