Vintage rare Reja (unsigned) Penguin Pin Brooch features the original and untouched enamel, from my personal collection. It is in as found, original condition from a trunk in an estate from the 1970s.

This whimsical Reja penguin has an amethyst purple color faceted crystal rhinestone belly that coordinates beautifully with the blue enamel, clear rhinestones and gold tone metal. The wings of this charming penguin have a speckled, glittery finish. During the war years, this penguin was produced in sterling silver. So, this was produced in the early or late 1940s. A very similar penguin pin was produced by the Baumann Massa Company that contained an oval plastic cabochon belly.

It measures approximately 1-7/8 x 7/8" and has a properly working safety closure.

It is always special to find enameled pieces with the original enamel intact, so we are particularly proud to be able to offer this wonderful example that we have never seen in the sterling pieces. Perhaps they were never produced in sterling or the enamel was removed.

In Excellent Condition with a small speck of enamel missing on the tip of the right foot that can only be noticed on close ispection as can be seen in our pictures.

A charming penguin pin brooch that is very rare and may not ever been found again in a lifetime attributed confidently to Reja. Advanced and discriminating collectors will be thrilled to own this unsigned Reja beauty!
