Vanstyle Art Deco Powder and Rouge Compact is an original 1930s, somewhat rare example of, flapper chic in the Jazz Age. Imagine peering into the mirror that another fashionable lady did nearly one hundred years ago! What a fantasy. Part of the fun for us is to wonder whom she may have been. Perhaps you will too!

This is a very efficient and clever compact that performs three functions in a 2-1/2 x 1-3/4 x 1/2" case. One side is for powder, the other for rouge and the center has a double-sided mirror. The interior contains an empty loose powder section with recessed lid that holds the original square puff on one side, and a two-sided mirror in excellent condition as well as a rouge compartment with original rouge on the other. There is a little bit of the original powder on the powder side. The interior is hallmarked "BY VANSTYLE". All mechanicals are working properly. The two puffs are unused.

The top is finished in black enamel with a gold tone Art Deco design of fluted bands overlaid onto the black enamel. The front of the compact is in Very Good/Excellent Condition. The back is finished in a gold tone Art Deco engine turned vertical stripe motif that has some wear.
