Vintage Tea Caddy in silver plate over copper has a repousse farm scene with a farmer and his wife, horses, chickens, a turkey, cows, a dog and a haystack and a windmill. This tea caddy is very charming with its copper peeking out from under the silver plate. The melange of silver, copper and the darkened shadows of the relief add warmth and texture to the piece.

It measures approximately 4-1/2" tall and has a 3" diameter.

There are several hallmarks stamped into the bottom. The first is a double-headed eagle, the second some sort of four legged creature and the third a G with a crown over it. We have yet to discern this puzzle.

It has a well fitting, although somewhat slanted, onion top. There are various dings and slight dents commensurate with a lifetime of use and wear in addition to the loss of plating.

This would make a wonderful addition to a country kitchen. One can only imagine how the life it has had will become another chapter, perhaps in your life?
