Vintage lucite sweetheart bracelet representing the U.S. Navy is like those pictured like on Page 28 of "Sweetheart Jewelry & Collectibles" by Nick Snider which he describes as "very rare" and "one-of-a-kind". This vintage sweetheart bracelet dates to the 1940s has been personalized with the letter "G" on its crest. We believe the crest is sterling silver although it has not been tested because we could not get to the back of the piece and did not want to harm the front. It was nearly black when we got this bracelet from an estate and we polished it just a bit for the photograph. It took a polish just like sterling silver. The bracelet measures approximately 5/8" wide and has an inside dimension of approximatley 2-1/4 x 2" with an opening of approximately 1", so it will fit most average-sized wrists. It is in Excellent Condition and a wonderful rare example of this type of bracelet for discriminating collectors. A wonderful and nostalgic piece of jewelry memorabilia from the Second World War.
