Kenneth Lane vintage owl necklace is so ingenious! The wings and tail feather sections are jointed so that when you move it can look as if the owl is flying! :)) In rich gold tone with a simulated tortoise cabochon belly, this amazing necklace is adjustable to 2-1/2" long with a fish hook closure and extender chain with gold tone bead accented end. The central depth of the necklace is approximately 4". In Excellent Condition, this vintage Kenneth Lane owl necklace is signed, "Kenneth Lane" with a copyright symbol and the numbers 12 with a smaller 2 are scratched into the signature area. This was often done with Miriam Haskell jewelry sold through Marshall Field stores, now closed, in Chicago relating to dates and inventory numbers. This is a very special example of vintage Kenneth Lane jewelry in a style we have never seen before, so we consider this a wonderful and rare example of his jewelry design genius that collectors will appreciate.
